This is our specialized Karate training for pre-school kids aged 4-5. The emphasis is on fun and discipline in a karate class setting. At this age, the children learn to have better self-control, and they receive exercise and coordination. We utilize fun and exciting Karate games to teaching Karate techniques. Kidini The alarming rise in the incidence of abduction and attacks on children has caused many parents worry. Kidini is a program to answer those concerns. Kidini is a fun, educational, interactive program that empowers children (and parents) with the knowledge to avoid or escape dangerous situations. The Kidini program engages children with the aid of seven (7) personable, friendly characters each with their own entertaining story and easy to learn song. Through practice scenarios, interactive teaching aids, and follow-up activities children learn how to recognize and react to potentially life threatening or hostile situations. Kidini is a child safety program. Children are introduced to seven friendly characters – all members of the Kidini Team, and each one uniquely skilled to recognize, avoid, and escape dangerous situations. Through individual character lessons and easy to sing-a-long songs, your child will be guided through the steps each member must take in order to stay safe. Kidini is a fun, educational and interactive way to empower your child with knowledge - knowledge that could someday prevent him or her from becoming injured or abused. Juniors
Our Juniors program provides a fun and exciting environment for kids aged 6-12 to learn Karate. By being with children their own age, our Juniors are able to learn at pace that is comfortable for them without having to engage adults. We challenge our Juniors to strive for their best, and to apply these same concepts to other areas of their life. The exercise that is lacking in so many grade schools can be found here. Adult ProgramsTraditional Karate
Adult Karate classes run every weekday evening between 7 PM and 9 PM. Classes focus on several general areas: Kata, Kumite, Kobudo, and Aki-Jitsu. Each of these areas are integral parts to the study of Shuri-te/Shaolin. Also, there are morning and afternoon classes on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. For more information on our class schedule click here. Shuri-te was derived from the Shaolin Kenpo style and was the main fighting system of the Samurai of the emperor of Japan at the Shuri Castle. The Chinese military envoy that was in Okinawa had a large influence on our Shuri-Te Shaolin style. This influence includes the use of five basic Heians for development and to prepare the student for the advanced kata of Kusanku, which is named after the Chinese General Kusanku himself, who introduced this method to the Okinawans. Our system is known for its fast and powerful techniques, Aki Jutsu (joint locking) and its main art is that of Kyusho Jutsu (pressure point hitting) which is taught to its higher-ranking Yudansha (black belt). Without its knowledge, our system would be no different from any other system. We trace our lineage through Soke Jerry F. Barbar of the Mahato Karate Association, to the original Mahato Karate lead by Master Noriyuki Tamesue and Master Shumihiko Funatsu. Kobudo Classical Okinawan martial weapons art Ryukyu Kobu Jutsu or simply Kobudo. The same civilian-warriors who developed the art of Karate forged Kobudo on the island of Okinawa. While there is no standardized or official set of kata used by all practitioners, there are many interpretations of kata handed down by the masters of old. Weapons include Bo, Sai, Nunchucka, tonfa, kama, and handbo. Kenjutsu
